The ever-growing knowledge about Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), along with the latest data on the use of biological agents, pre-administration preparations such as vaccination and infection panel screening, as well as the use of immunomodulators, prompted the Central Board of the Indonesian Gastroenterology Association (PB PGI) to once again hold the ‘Indonesia Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Masterclass 2024.’ This event was held on May 26, 2024, in a hybrid format at the JW Marriott Hotel, Jakarta, and via Zoom Meeting.

The event was attended by 68 participants offline and 460 participants online, consisting of general practitioners, internal medicine specialists, internal medicine specialists focusing on gastroenterology, gastroenterohepatology consultants, and allergy immunology specialists. The event featured 2 case discussion sessions followed by a Q&A session.

Session 1 discussed ‘Management of Biologic Agent Administration in IBD, including Vaccination and Infection Screening,’ moderated by Dr. Amanda Pitarini Utari, SpPD, K-GEH. The case presenter was Dr. Saskia Aziza Nursyirwan, SpPD, K-GEH, with the following panelists:
