Singapore, 21 November 2025 — Indonesia celebrates another milestone on the international stage as Prof. Dadang Makmun, MD, PhD, FACG (President of ISG 2016 – 2023), received the prestigious Master of APAG. The award ceremony was held at The Pavilion, Singapore.

The Master of APAGE award, conferred by the Asia Pacific Association for Gastroenterology (APAGE), was officially presented by Dr. Choon-Jin Ooi, President of APAGE, together with Prof. Justin Che Yuen Wu. This distinguished honor recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the advancement of gastroenterology across the Asia–Pacific region. Prof. Dadang Makmun is widely regarded as one of Indonesia’s leading figures in gastroenterology. His longstanding dedication to improving clinical services, strengthening research, and advancing medical education has significantly shaped the field in Indonesia. His active engagement in international scientific forums has also elevated Indonesia’s presence within the global medical community.

This achievement marks a proud moment for Indonesia and reaffirms Prof. Dadang Makmun’s commitment to advancing the science and practice of gastroenterology.
