With gratitude and great honor, I would like to express my sincere thanks for the trust placed in me as the President of the Indonesian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) for the 2023–2026 term. This duty and responsibility are a mandate that I will carry out with full dedication for the advancement of the field of gastroenterology in Indonesia.

On this occasion, we would like to extend our gratitude to Prof. Dadang Makmun, MD, PhD, FACG and the Executive Board of ISG for the 2016–2023 term for successfully implementing the previous ISG programs. That period was challenging due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused some activities to be postponed and others to be conducted online to continue facilitating doctors in enhancing their knowledge and providing the latest information, particularly in the field of gastroenterology.

As a professional medical organization, we will continue to strive to promote progress and enhance professionalism in the field of gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy for all ISG members, as well as expand the reach of quality healthcare services for all communities.
